The
training consists of instructional material followed by an eight question
exam. The exam is required for all BIDMC Nursing Staff. The
materials, located online, should take you between 8-10 minutes to review.
To Get Started
* Click on the link below,
entitled "Safe
and Effective Handoffs" to access
training.
* Log in by entering your
username and password.
- Username is the part before
"@bidmc.harvard.edu" in your email; for example “plevy@bidmc.harvard.edu"
- Password is your email
password.
To Complete Training and Exam
* Review materials by
proceeding through the Online Training.
- To view the
slides, click the forward or backward buttons in the lower portion of the
screen.
- Keep track of
slide numbers; you can stop at any time. When you return,
click on that slide to resume where you left off.
* Take the exam, after
reviewing the materials.
After Training
* Check your email to retrieve
the Web Certification of Exam Completed message.
* Forward a copy of the exam
completion email to your immediate manager.
