Pain, Sedation and Daily Wake up in the ICU's

Introduction: 

Caring for patients on mechanical ventilation requires expert nursing care. Research shows that we can decrease morbidity and mortality by instituting a ventilatory bundle that can improve clinical outcomes for our patients. Two components of the bundle are discussed in this competency. The PowerPoint highlights daily wake-ups and assessing readiness to extubate. Once you have completed the PowerPoint, please proceed to the quiz to demonstrate your understanding of the material.Once you have completed this exam please forward the completion email to your unit educator or CNS.
